KEYS After-School Program
We believe in Keeping Elyria Youth Successful (KEYS). Children are the KEYS to the future.
Our completely FREE after-school program takes place Monday - Friday from 2:30 - 6:30 p.m., in accordance with the Elyria City Schools published calendar. We serve up to 95 children in grades K-8 in a Montessori setting. We have adopted areas of focus called the 5 Pillars. These include academic skill-building, social emotional learning, health and wellness awareness, community engagement, and college & career readiness.
Most children are transported from their respective schools to SOC. We offer daily homework assistance, STEM/STEAM activities, and a nutritious meal. Occasional field trips help nurture curiosity, as well as expand our students' awareness and horizons. Children who live within our pick up zone are transported home at the close of the program each day.
