Difference Makers
Difference Makers is an engaging after-school program presented by Save Our Children of Elyria that introduces students to multiple career paths and provides a platform for professionals from diverse fields to share their stories. Through interactive discussions and activities, participants will gain insight into why these individuals chose their respective careers, how they
help others in their daily work, and the importance of education or trade school in achieving their goals.
Our presenters come from a range of industries, including healthcare, education, law enforcement, business, and the arts, among others. Each presenter brings their unique perspective to the table, sharing their personal journey and the challenges they faced along the way. By hearing from these successful professionals, students will be inspired to dream big and pursue
their passions. In addition to sharing their stories, our presenters will offer three recommendations for future participants looking to follow in their footsteps. These recommendations will provide actionable steps that students can take to prepare for their desired career path, including the importance of networking, developing key skills, and seeking out educational opportunities.
