Elyria Teens Achieve Success (ETAS)
Our teen youth program cultivates leadership by allowing students an opportunity to encourage their peers to excel and succeed in academics and in life.
Save Our Children collaborated with Nordson Corporation, the Elyria City Schools, Effective Leadership Academy, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Club and the YWCA to form Elyria Teens Achieve Success (ETAS): a mentoring program for 9th - 12th grade students to assist them in transitioning into high school and preparing them for 21st Century careers. We received a Community Connectors grant from the Ohio Department of Education in order to launch this much needed after-school program for teens.
Proudly we report that each inaugural class of amazing students are taking a positive next step in their promising lives via college, the military, and/or work as a skilled tradesperson.
After School Program
We are focused on actively engaging students in leadership-building activities, career exploration, college preparation, and community service. We are collaborating with many different agencies, companies and individuals in order to support our teens and give them hope for a positive future. Please feel free to download, complete, and return the application at the top of our page to our office.
